The Love Dare Challenge
Has anyone ever seen the movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron? My husband and I saw this movie a year or so ago, and I bought the book, The Love Dare. We don't many issues in our marriage, really at all. But I think there's always room for improvement AND no harm in trying something new! I never got to finish this book, because life got busy. I was curious if anyone would want to take this Love Dare Challenge with me? I will post the dares daily, and you can follow along! I'll have everyone post comments about what they did and we can all share, and maybe get some new ideas! If you are interested, please leave a comment below! Peace!

I'm not married but Fireproof was a fab film! The train track scene made me cry - so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteI STILL haven't seen this movie! It's been on my list for over a year. I need to get going on this!
ReplyDeleteThat's funny that you posted this today. I just did a post on this movie on Saturday:

I was thinking the same thing...really every time I've seen the movie I have thought the same thing. We have an amazing marriage, but like you said...everything can be improved upon. I'll join you in this challenge! If nothing else, it'll point out places in my heart and life that need work.
I'll join you! I bought the book and did a few of the dares, but never completed it. We have a great marriage and I was so pleased the other night to hear that after a friend of his asked if he was "happily" married, he replied, "yes, very." I also intend to use the book as a way to help me improve my relationships with my small boys. Obviously not the same thing, but that's where the greatest work lies.
ReplyDeleteI would love to join in this dare...My hubby and I have seen the movie at least 3 times and we have brought the set of books with the journal and even though we have a good marriage you girls are right it still can use some improvement...Think you so much for posting this I pray that we can do this it would be so fun to comment back about what we did for a particular dare etc.....
ReplyDeleteZekesmom, I totally love the idea of incorporating out children in the challenge! That is what I can do then, I'll post the days challenge to our husbands and also tweek it a little for our kiddos! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI just love this movie...and we, too, have the book. It was a gift and I agree, it never hurts to improve your marriage. We haven't focused enough on the book, yet, to do all it says....but I am confident that God will bring it to mind when we need it! :) Best of luck with it all! ;)
